Plus Spring Teen Tops

By , About.com Guide

I've been shopping up a storm lately, and some of it has been for my niece. These plus-size options combine trends and wearability for a perfect look this spring.

1. Swiss Dot Lily Blouse

Available in turquoise and white, this blouse is great for layering with a shrug or just pairing with a simple, flouncy skirt. It's also available in white, which is great for those of us who like to look young but need to layer blazers over blouses.

2. Dalia Pink Dot Top

If you have an appeal shape, there are proabably some tees out there that just don't work. Instead of worrying, choose blousy looks with a little extra "give" around the midsection.

3. Paisley Flutter Blouse

This top looks pricey without being so, making it a great b-day gift for special younger someones. I'm tempted to buy this piece myself, which features tempting crochet trim and a tie back to add shape. This rich floral pattern is almost vintage in style and will make a good inclusion to a spring wardrobe that includes a lot of denim.

4. Chiffon Ruffle Top

This top pairs a waist tie (great for cinching and defining) with an interesting fruity color. Try wearing different top colors underneath for cool effects.

5. Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends Tee

This fun novelty top is great for the gym and for casual days when you just might be wearing sweatpants or stretch pants. Even if you're not, this shirt will look perfect with jeans.

6. Macey Tank

Stripey, fun, and easy-to-wear, this tank from B & Lu has caught my eye. A floral pattern collides with another bold effect for a look that teens love. Wear it with jeans or a skirt-- this top is very versatile.
