Plus Spring Break Swimsuits and Loungewear for 2008

Get the right look for vacations, cruises, and trips.

By Meieli Sawyer, About.com

I've found a great selection of swimsuits, cover-ups, and beachy stuff for your upcoming vacations. You'll want to toss your old swimsuits aside in favor of these current, cool pieces, and I've tried to find something for everyone. If you're not the type to dive into the ocean, take a look at the two shapely dresses shown below, or a denim skirt for a youthful vibe.

1. Short Denim Skirt

Why not go for the flirty and unexpected? This little skirts fits the bill just perfectly. Consider wearing it with slight wedge heels in a wider fit to flatter the length of your leg. Flats, although tempting, could make you look shorter-- even flip flops with a heel will work swimmingly.

2. Cuffed Denim Shorts

So cute and fresh for your innocent spring/summer vacation! These Rolled Cuffed Denim Shorts work great with plaid tees or ones with rustic, cool embroidery.

3. Loose Tankini Styles

Do all tankinis need to be tight? Certainly not. This Christina Tankini could work well for those of us who love to wear our swimsuit tops with our skirts and trousers.

This swimsuit would look great on an apple body type.

4. Escape Miraclesuit

A Miraclesuit keeps your figure perfect, and still curvy in all the right places.

5. Bow Bust Suit

A bow at the bust is just another feminine touch to scoop up for your vacation. If you love slimming black but you do need a slight touch of something else, you can find it here.

6. Bright Swimsuits

Forget about prints and boring solids-- style starts here! Get a swimsuit in rich raspberry or tangerine as part of your vacation repertoire. Imagine this suit with bright white shades and loose waves.

7. Floral Prints with a Twist

Not all floral prints need to be pastels and pinks. Try one like this Floral Printed One Piece in a more muted tone. Don't forget to accessorize with cool wooden beads that you pick up at local stands along the way.

8. Sarong Front Swimsuit

A sarong front swimsuit fits two bodytypes: you can cover up your hips if you have a pear shape, or you can also maximize your curves if you have a larger waist than hips.

9. T-Shirt Cover-Ups

A big tee is a perfectly sophisticated cover-up for any full figured woman at the beach. Accessorize with faux pearls and big watch.

10. Jeweled Tankini

What a devastating tankini. Details emphasize your bust and this color is quite arresting, too!

11. Terry Cover-Ups

This terry dress suits teens and their moms, too. No matter what your age, this terry dress is a great beach must-have for any woman.

12. Summer Floral Dresses

Brown floral straddles the line between sophisticated and fun. You've got the flirty tone along with a slightly more mature (and understated) color. Just right for the "serious" beachgoer.
