I wanted to know more about the first plus-size e-mall, and I thought you'd like to know about them, too. I had a chance to ask them what they're all about and what's in store for seasons to come, and now all I want to do is shop...
Q: Can you tell us what One Stop Plus is all about? Why would a plus customer want to shop there?
A: OneStopPlus is unique in its being the first and only 'mall' for plus-sized women. With the leading names in plus-size fashion and a diversity of style and size, it gives customers style options with convenience. In addition to fashion, accessories at OneStopPlus give women choices found nowhere else. For example, boots come in four calf widths.
Q: Who is a "One Stop Plus Customer"? Who frequents the store most often--full-time moms, students, professionals...?
A: The OneStopPlus customers are as diverse as the audience it serves. Full-time moms, career women, students [...] Customers of every age and size have made it clear that they can find their size and their style [...] and the bra and swimwear collections make life easy for hard-to-find fits.
Q: What are some of your favorite looks for Fall/Winter?
A: This is a season of contrasts: Menswear with a feminine feel, ladylike and western, and the most complex color in the rainbow, purple. [OneStopPlus] recognizes that great style can be worn from season to season and it’s as much about adding a few core pieces as it is to the occasional splurges of have-to-have trends.
Q: What would you name as the top F/W trend that works for plus women?
A: Color is always a part of every woman’s wardrobe, regardless of size, and purple is especially wearable with grays, blacks and navys. The shorter swing jackets and the longer tunics are particularly flattering on plus-size women. And the feminine dresses this season are beautiful on all women.
Q: What should we expect for spring/summer? Are there any important trends that One Stop Plus will be addressing?
A: Spring will have lots of neutrals, but the trick is to add a few brights to pump up the look. Orange will be particularly important and nautical is a great Spring/Summer trend. This year will be interesting in that the new First Lady will add a jolt to the fashion scene and we can look there for some added inspiration.
Q: A lot of us are concerned with our budgets. Can you recommend a single piece from One Stop Plus that can give our wardrobe a boost?
A: It would have to be the reversible leopard wrap, which is great over jeans or perfect with the little black dress, it’s a wonderful boost to everything from last season as well as the newest trends.
Q: What's coming up for your site? Anything exciting (fashion-wise or in terms of the shopping experience itself)?
A: We offer customers options of shopping by brands and sizes. The trends, and especially the newsletters, give up-to-the-minute inspiration and motivation to women.
