Going Out Clothes for Busty Women

By , About.com Guide

You're going out, and you want to look nice. But when you've got a heavy bust and you want to flatter your shape, it can be hard to look "appropriate" and feel comfortable at the same time. I've gathered a few things for you, including a cute jacket to wear over all your shapely tops.

1. Wrap Tops

Wrap tops are an easy way to enhance your shape. Don't forget a supportive bra, and if you feel a little embarrassed with a deep v-neck wrap, wear a simple tank top underneath.

2. Deep V-Neck Tops

This gray top from Mai Tai at Mimi's Curvy Corner is lightweight and great with shrugs. It's long enough that you won't need to worry about back coverage when you move around, and I can imagine it with a gorgeous silver necklace.

3. Corsets and Bustiers

Try tops with bustier shapes and clever covers over your arms if you're a little shy. This top from Igigi has three quarter sleeves for comfort, and you can wear it comfortably under a smart blazer.

4. Tops with Defined Waists

If you have a shaped waist, be sure to highlight it to prevent your body from looking square. This modern English top is smart and sexy--just right for a swanky dinner date when paired with a pencil skirt and low kitten heels.

5. Floaty Patterned Tops

Wear shirts with interest to make the most of what you've got. If you'd like to downplay your bustline, wear a top with a large, loose, neutral-colored pattern.

6. Shaped Blazer

Shaped jackets are good for business nights out at a bar or pub. Wear a fun top underneath to emphasize your sleek style.
