We Love Colors Footless Tights ReviewPhoto (c) We Love Colors
Do you hate "wasting" money on stockings and tights? While it can hurt to spend a little extra on your tights the first time, it's worth it in the long run. Instead of having to run out and buy a new pair of tights weekly, We Love Colors tights last and last. My new favorite? The footless version.

Color Options

We Love Colors' plus-size tights are available in a slew of colors, in sizes from A/B to EE (up to 6', 375 pounds). The colors are bright and stay that way through multiple washes, but what impresses me the most about the tights is the fact that they're slightly sheer, but they still flatter the leg. I don't like my tights to be too see-thru because I have cellulite on my thighs and calves (!), but these tights have the right balance of color and opacity.

Sizing

These tights run true-to-size, and they are the type that can be pulled up over the ribcage to right under the breasts if you like a smooth line (you don't have to do this, of course!). They have enough stretch to accommodate larger calves and ankles, even with an ankle-encircling bands to keep tights in place. They stretch well when you're active, and they are not restrictive at all.

Quality and Durability

The most expensive pair of tights I bought were from Wacoal, and they set me back $40. Those tights lasted a good year, so I'm putting We Love Colors' footless tights through the same test to see how they fare: so far, so good!

My suggestions to keep any tights tidy? Put on a pair of slim socks before poking your foot through the tights, which will prevent snagging on nails or on dry skin on your feet. Moisturize your legs or put some powder on your thighs, and then wear a pair of rubber kitchen gloves or medical gloves when putting on your tights, to prevent snags from long nails. It might seem like extra work, but you won't snag your tights before you leave the house!

Price Point

A pair of We Love Colors footless tights in a plus size will cost you $16, plus shipping. Since they last a long time, you will find that buying a black pair or two in your size is a smart investment for fall and winter. If you get the footless type, you're further decreasing the chance of snags that can happen inside winter boots and other cold-weather footwear.
