Have you ever tried a minimizer bra before? I've always been pretty apprehensive about bras that reduce the size of my cups, because I want them to be an even measurement with my hips. I recently had a chance to try the Bali Comfort Minimizer Underwire Bra, and I thought that it provided a ton of support, and a soft amount of control that keeps the "bounce factor" down. Considering the reviews I read on several websites, I was looking forward to trying this one out. I wasn't disappointed. Read on!
Comfort
This Comfort Minimizer Bra has an excellent fit, which is probably the best reason to look into the #3642. This particular bra has an interesting hand: it's silky smooth, and the lace embellishment is even tucked into the trim to avoid skin contact and possible irritation. The bra is lined in the same soft material, and the straps are equally as soft as the bra. Unlike many larger, underwire bras for fuller-figured women, this bra is seamless, soft, and supportive.
Support
The uplift on this bra is not overly impressive, but because it's a minimizer. Instead of boosting, it cups the breasts to gently compress without yanking. The minimizer bra offers overall soft compression from all angles, so you don't actually feel any pressure. The wider straps aren't like the usually padded design, with heavy clips and clasps, instead using the same compression fabric to keep things where they belong. I am particularly sensitive about straps (I hate ugly ones), so this is a welcome touch.
Design
For a bra made to minimize, this one is particularly attractive. It does have a full-figured silhouette, which means that the cups are full coverage and come up higher on the breast bone as they ease into straps. I've seen a lot of compression and minimizer items without lace or other decorative additions, but this one is offered in several different nice shades that come complete with a lace embellishment at center. This isn't a "seduction bra," but it is an excellent unpadded, lined t-shirt bra that will leave you feeling positive when you slip it on.
I removed a 1/2 star because I put on my bras by fastening them at the front, upside down, and flipping them up. On both bras (beige and black), the underwire on the left would get flipped around, and I would have to manually adjust it. This does not affect fit or comfort, but it could be an annoyance if you put on your bras like I do.
Sizing
I found up to 42DDD online, and I found the fit very true to size. If you order your proper size, this bra will do what it's supposed to (minimize), but without the drawbacks of other minimizers (tugging, straining, squishing, and uniboob).
