I had a chance to sit down with Charlotte Bleasdale to speak about Simply Yours, a U.K. lingerie source that offers full-figured styles. Read on for plenty of information about this company, and then get useful tips to conquer bra fit problems!
Q: Can you tell us a little bit about Simply Yours?
A: Simply Yours is a UK lingerie home shopping company that offers gorgeous underwear for girls with curves! We offer beautiful bras in 30-50 and A-JJ cups, with selected styles in K and L cups, as well as plus size nightwear and swimwear, giving curvy girls a choice not available on the high street. This year we have been delighted to work with celebrity stylist Gok Wan on his first ever range of shapewear, which has been amazing.
Q: As plus women, we're especially interested in quality items. Larger bras can be hard to find, and sometimes we have to "settle." Can you recommend some of your favourite fuller-figure bra brands to help us shop?
A: Panache are a really good brand for the fuller figure. Their bras offer everything a girl could want: great fit and support plus a superb size range, with selected bras up to 48K. Theres a great choice of styles too from sexy black lace to feminine florals to simple white bras with a touch of embroidery or lace.
At Simply Yours we think its so important that big bras be beautiful theres nothing worse than having to buy a boring bra because the one you really want doesnt come in your size. This season Masquerade, Pour Moi, and Roseleaf have bras up to G cup in gorgeous bold colours, including purple, red, deep pink and blue. Definitely not boring!
Q: What makes a bra high-end? Why is investing in a quality bra important for plus customers?
A: Investing in a good bra is important for all women because the right fit can work wonders for your figure and your confidence. Wearing a good bra not only lifts your boobs but can make you look slimmer, and help your clothes fit better. You'll also walk taller because it can really boost your confidence.
A high-end bra is made from the best components and top quality fabrics, giving it not only a luxurious look and feel but also making it as supportive and comfortable as it can be. A lot of work goes into the construction of a high-end bra, particularly in larger sizes where a good bra will often feature 3 rather than 2 section cups, a wider back-band, strengthening material in the cups, firmer underwires and sometimes wider bra straps for maximum support and comfort.
