Shipping
Cost of shipping may seem excessive or unusually high, but in the case of jewelry, we must keep in mind that they cover insurance and rather speedy services.
You've got to wonder, though: if you were purchase a necklace that was, say, $1,000, wouldn't it seem appropriate not to have to pay shipping? Don't many true "luxury" companies use these bonuses as a way of securing larger purchases? This was a consideration that led me to look somewhat negatively on their higher S&H/Insurance charge.
Customer Service
Customer service is somewhat "touch-and-go," but you can expect to be answered in 24 hours or less. You do get to have contact with one representative of the company, which adds a personal touch, but the transaction technique (PayPal) may cause problems that detract from that aspect.
Refunds are made quickly if necessary.
Sales and Discounts
Sales and discounting is where Prive Porter falls particularly flat. Their coupon codes may be accepted into the system despite being expired, so use caution! Due to this oversight, customers may go through with a purchase that is later rejected by the company due to coupon restrictions, which was my personal experience. This is a major issue that needs to be resolved.
I don't recommend attempting to use coupons with this company after my own experience. In fact, after making a purchase with them, you'll need to keep in mind that your purchase may be rejected at any time. Refunds are given, but considering how much time it takes to decide on an expensive jewelry item, it's not worth the risk.
