Exploring Bali: Underwear as Outerwear

Today's the day when I start the Fab-U Challenge... wish me luck! First up is the Bali PowerShape Full Slip (in Firm Control, yikes!), and I am going to test it with some skirts and dresses. To be honest, this piece is a little intimidating, because it's so sleek and tight, and I don't usually wear full-length slips with control.

In terms of quality, I certainly can't complain. This piece features a small strip of silicone around the hemline to keep it from creeping up, an eyelet-closure crotch underneath, and a padded underwire "bra" section. Seams are finished with serging and banding, and the straps on the top are adjustable, but not padded. I prefer non-padded straps on my bras and other shapewear, so that made me smile!

Stay tuned for pics after I get dressed up today and take this out for a spin.

Update: Check it out! I added the Full Slip and a skirt, leaving the top part of the slip exposed like a stretchy camisole with high shine. It might be a slip, but it's so finished that it looks like a structured camisole or basque. Underwear as outerwear!

Outfit Roundup (most of this is from my traveling sample box & storage): Striped shirt 1X, JCPenney; Full slip 38DD, Bali; Skirt size 12 (runs big), Kiyonna; Tights 1X, We Love Colors; Shoes 10, JCPenney.

FTC Disclosure: I received product samples for this review, but no further compensation.
