Even when we are trying to cut back on our shopping, it's best to try to pare down purchases to what's completely necessary-- and shop with foresight.
I need a fun dress for New Year, but instead of splashing out on something formal which I won't wear again, I am compromising. This polka dot piece is available in plus sizes from JCPenney and can easily be dressed up with silver pumps, a hairband, and a fantastic evening coat or wrap. Since I'm in Miami this year, the weight (charmeuse) is perfect for the season.. . and a ton of events afterwards.
