Avoid Cap Sleeves. . . Love Strapless Instead

Sunday August 10, 2008

Sometimes I feel like we're on the hunt for tops with sleeves-- but not every shirt is made alike. Cap sleeves, in my opinion, are one of the most dangerous tops to wear unless you have exceptionally slim arms or you like layering. Since they cut our arms off at the thickest upper -arm area, I've noticed that tank tops can be a better bet. You'll show off your collarbone and neck just right.

Check out my favorite top tank here at Alight.com.

I’ve found that if you are bustier or have larger shoulders than hips, tank tops can sometimes make you resemble an NFL linebacker. my solution: u-necks! somewhat like the tank you have pictured here, their wider collar balances out big shoulders more than a tank and offers stealth-coverage while still showing a little skin and decolletage. i love them!

Great suggestion! I have quite a few of those in my wardrobe.
